A Baltimore native, in 1955 Nancy married John D. Hubble and, after receiving her real estate license in 1957, joined his family’s real estate business, L.L. Hubble & Co, which was founded in 1918. Nancy expanded the family business to include The Hubble Company in 1960, which focused primarily on residential sales in communities in and around Greater Baltimore. In 1981, Nancy partnered with her daughter, Karen Hubble Bisbee, the third generation of the Hubble family to pursue a career in real estate, and a 45-year veteran of the industry herself. The nationally ranked Hubble Bisbee Group has been listed on the Wall Street Journal Real Trends Top 250 Teams as well as America’s Best Real Estate Professionals over the years, most recently ranking #4 for Volume for Large Teams in the State of Maryland for 2022.
Nancy Hubble is a Member and Past President of the Greater Baltimore Board of REALTORS® (GBBR), Past Director of the Maryland REALTORS® Association (MRA), the National Association of REALTORS® (NAR), and the Women’s Real Estate Council. She is a Life Member and Past President of the Real Estate Million Dollar Association. She was inducted into the MAR and NAR Political Action Hall of Fame. Nancy was also awarded the National Association of REALTORS® prestigious Omega Tau Rho award for exemplifying integrity in the industry. Having worked in the industry for over 60 years, Nancy was named REALTORS® Emeritus by the National Association of REALTORS®. She was also named REALTORS® of the Year for both Greater Baltimore Board of REALTORS® and Maryland Association of REALTORS®.
Nancy has been active in the Baltimore area community through business as well as civic engagement, donating her time and energy supporting countless causes over the last 60 years. Joining the effort to combat the issue of Baltimore’s vacant housing, Nancy served on a Blue Ribbon Panel for Baltimore City. For five years, Nancy served on the Board of the Enterprise Foundation (now Enterprise Community Partners), dedicated to neighborhood development. In addition, she has served as community liaison with the Johns Hopkins Medical Group, the Valleys Planning Council and Developers on zoning and development issues affecting the Falls Road Corridor of Baltimore County.
Nancy has been politically active throughout her adult life: working on campaigns, testifying at local and state hearings for issues important to the real estate agent community, supporting the causes important to members of the State Legislature, Baltimore City and County Councils and the United States Senate and the House of Representatives. Nancy has served as member and chair of Maryland REALTORS®’ PAC Trustees and as member and current Chair of GBBR PAC Trustees. For the past 15+ years she has chaired and continues to serve on the Legal Action Fund Committee at Maryland REALTORS® Association.
Nancy has served as a Vestry Member, and is presently a lay minister, reader, Saint Luke’s Minister and intercessor at her church, The Episcopal Church of the Redeemer. She also served as Co-Chair of their Capital Campaign, raising funds needed for capital improvements of the 160-year-old building and grounds.
Having developed a strong respect for the importance of education and its effects on the overall health of the community, Nancy has focused her attention on Stevenson University, where she served on the President’s Council. Nancy witnessed the life changing effect the University has had on their graduates as they began their post-collegial path towards meaningful careers, engaged citizenship, personal fulfillment and consequential lives. Nancy’s wish to support motivated students and guide them on this trajectory toward academic achievement led her to establish the Nancy C. Hubble Endowed Scholarship for First Generation Collegians and also supports the Manning Academic Center. Currently a Trustee, Nancy is now serving on the Governance Committee of Stevenson University.
